carmine and '6 cents' on 8c purple & ultramarine SG 37-40, the
first with 'Specimen' handstamp Samuel Type SY4, the others with
'SPECIMEN' Samuel Type SY3 haphazardly applied one Diagonally
Upwards, one Vertically Downwards, and one Diagonally Upwards
Inverted, a few mostly minor aging marks & small hinge remainders.
Marcus Samuel & James Bendon state that these were prepared locally
for UPU distribution. (4)
