Specialized 1871-75 Tiger's Head Issues Collection, an outstanding specialist's collection presented on both well-annotated exhibit-type pages and on 3-row stock pages. The 1871 first issues, dated "1288," comprised approximately 21 nearly all used and cut examples, but all are plated and presented to facilitate identification. The 1872-73 issues, equally substantial, include some choice mint examples, such as pairs, a strip of three, and a corner missing ornament. Issues in this series are also plated and identified for collector convenience. Subsequent color changes offer similar coverage, and approximately eleven covers with plated and identified frankings—singles, pairs, and combination—accompany.
