unused or used stamps, with some duplication, many varieties,
particularly on the surcharged issues, also proofs, blocks, a
couple covers, postal stationery, and some forgeries, throughout
are elusive stamps that are scarcer than their relatively modest
catalogue values would suggest, slightly mixed condition, overall

China, Japanese Occupation, Important Holding. A couple hundred
items, mostly unused singles and blocks, this was assembled by
Steven Frumkin, one of the most knowledgeable experts of the
Japanese Occupation issues, he carefully studied these stamps and
identified them by paper, die, perforation, printing stage, etc.,
many of which go far beyond what any catalogue lists, many are
noted as one of only a few he had seen, and some are probably the
only recorded example, a few covers, including one with a postal
forgery, this is an outstanding opportunity for someone to obtain a
wide variety of scarce to rare stamps, and hopefully continue
Steve's study of these underappreciated issues, about eighteen
Frumkin certificates accompany
