The stamps uncancelled and with manuscript registration, but accepted and forwarded as such to United States, with no indication that any postage due was collected. Reverse 27 June Registered Haifa transit, part Marseilles and 15 June New York arrival cds’s. An extraordinary usage. (B28703)

Usage of this new overprint setting is very scarce. Picture on the postcard is Abu Mohammed Al Hajjaj Ibn Yusuf Al Thaqafi (661 – 714 AD) who was the governor of Hejaz and Iraq (B28702)
