1762 (Aug 16): Entire from Charleston, South Carolina to London,
rated '5' (d.) which has been deleted and replaced with '11' (d.),
manuscript "ship" top right and straight line 'CLONMELL' below,
reverse with straight-line 'COUNTRY' and arrival Bishop mark. Small
part of backflap missing, nevertheless a remarkable item, believed
to be the only recorded ship letter from Clonmel which was further
upstream from Dungarvon. Ex T. Roberts (1989)

"3/6" and showing two line "DUNGARVAN / 97" handstamp with red
manuscript "Ship letter" alongside and, on reverse WATERFORD and
arrival datestamps. Light vertical crease through cancel not
detracting from the good appearance of the only recorded example.
