local unrest and resistance still simmered, this cover illustrates
ongoing postal interactions despite strained diplomatic relations
and economic dislocation in Hungary during its hyperinflationary

Zensurstelle/ZAGREB/zensuriert: 6 censor strike, registered
bilingual label at left side of the cover, on reverse with
INNSBRUCK 1 4 XI 17 VIII cds, originating from the capital of the
Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia, then under Hungarian administration
within the Austro-Hungarian Empire, during the final weeks of World
War I, when military censorship was strictly enforced due to
intensified espionage concerns and crumbling imperial cohesion, the
censor marking likely applied by personnel under the command of
Feldpost- or military intelligence offices attached to the 5th
Army, active in the Southern Front, the addressee’s destination
INNSBRUCK situated in Tyrol, then a key logistical hub for the
k.u.k. military administration, item reflects the turbulent
Austro-Hungarian postal operations in late 1917, possibly
associated with correspondence from civil or paramilitary sources,
very fine to extremely fine condition, scarce usage especially with
double censorship strike and intact registry label, RARE WAR-TIME

for Hungary transatlantic flight of 1931, flown from New York to
Bicske by Hungarian aviators Captain Endresz György and navigator
Magyar Sándor, both of whom became national heroes for their feat,
their aircraft named Justice for Hungary was a Lockheed Sirius and
symbolized resistance to the Treaty of Trianon, which drastically
reduced Hungary's territory after World War I, the Italian-language
handstamp GIUSTIZIA per UNGHERIA reflects international sympathy
particularly among revisionist movements in Europe, postcard
postmarked in KAPOSVAR just one day after the commemorative arrival
of the plane on Hungarian soil, scarce example of contemporary
philatelic propaganda, visually striking with historical and
