Costa Rica Exceptional Postal Stationery Collection. The primary portion is displayed on exhibition pages and starts with the first issues of 1883 (when Costa Rica joined the U.P.U.) through 1923, there are also about 200 loose items that either didn't fit into the exhibit or where issued after 1923, contains everything required of a competitive exhibit, with unused, used, varieties, couple of rare die proofs, and specimens, includes envelopes (including registration), postal cards (including surcharge and official overprints), the used in particular shows many scarce and unusual items, with a wide variety of domestic and overseas uses, several uprated, plus one of two recorded used double cards, largely Fine-Very Fine, this is a solid basis on which to form a gold-medal exhibit at a relatively modest price, and with all the additional loose material, it could be expanded beyond the current scope
