Offices in China, 1908 (October 16), woodblock postcard to France, depicting a Geisha, franked with pair of 1 sen and single 2 sen Chrysanthemum issues overprinted “China” paying the 4 sen postcard rate, tied by two Newchwang I.J.P.O. circular datestamps, with clear violet Changchun-S I.J.P.O. transit (17 Oct) alongside, addressed to Cholet, France and carried via Siberia, edge wear, but a most attractive card with striking woodblock design.

Occupation of Taiwan, 1904 (April 29), underpaid cover from Tamsui, Taiwan to France, franked with 3 sen Chrysanthemum definitive cancelled by Taipeh (Taiwan) circular datestamp, addressed to Marseille, France, receiving at Tamsui the rare violet circular “Tamsui Taiwan Japan” handstamp and boxed “T” marking for insufficient postage; the 10 sen foreign letter rate left the letter underpaid by 7 sen, taxed 17½ centimes on arrival and collected with 5c and 30c French postage due stamps cancelled Marseille (6 Jun), reverse with Victoria, Hong Kong (4 May) transit and Marseille Rhône (6 Jun) receiver, some edge flaws, but a scarce cover.

Offices in China, 1907 (November 7), postcard from Tientsin to France, depicting two Japanese Geisha, franked with four 1 sen Chrysanthemum issues overprinted for use in China, all neatly tied by three strikes of Tientsin I.J.P.O. circular datestamps, reverse with clear Changchun-S I.J.P.O. double-circle transit (10 Nov), addressed to France, with manuscript directive “Via Siberia” at top, fine-very fine.

1911: Japan 4 s. brown on cream postal stationery card, mailed from Shoka, Taiwan with superb all Chinese despatch datestamp (March 6); "KEELUNG / TAIWAN" transit cds in black (March 10) and thence via "Tsuruga / Japan" (March 15) to England. The card mailed by a British missionary requesting a catalogue of surgical instruments. Rare and very fine.
