French PO's 1862: France Empire 40 c. orange, a horizontal strip of three, one stamp rounded corner, used on 1867 cover from Cairo to Rome, Italy tied by gros chiffres "5119" and in manuscript to denote full payment, with pearled "LE CAIRE BAU FRANCAIS" cds at left (Jan 8), with black 'PD' and framed "Paquebots / De La / Mediterranée" in red. Marseille and Roma cds's (Jan 22) on reverse of a scarce cover Yvert = € 625.
