single 6 d. deep yellow-green, no wmk., rough to intermediate perf.
14-16, used on 1867 Polignac cover to Paris tied by neat strikes of
"A10" obliterator in brownish ink; with ST. VINCENT despatch cds
(Aug 9) at left. The 1 d. adhesives also tied in transit by "London
/ Paid" cds in red (Aug 27). Manuscript "7" (pence) for British
credit at left in red crayon and readdressed from Paris to Maromme
(Aug 28) upon arrival. A fresh and fine cover, rare

14-16, used on 1862 cover to Edinburgh tied by "A10" obliterator in
black. ST. VINCENT cds at left (Feb 23) in black with London /
Paid" cds on obverse (March 18) in red and Edinburgh arrival (March
19) on reverse. The adhesive with age spots on the perforations and
possibly removed and repalced but a rare and not unattractive first
