from Merida to Maracaibo tied by "0" weight marking in black;
together with a cover bearing a sheet marginal ½ r. orange on cover
to Caracas tied by "La Guaira" cds (June 24) in blue - an unusual
stamp, roughly separated giving the impression of an attempt at
rouletting. A scarce pairing

the ...more 1862: Arms, ½ c. dull lilac, block of forty, top right corner of the sheet with part of side marginal, includes four transfer blocks of 24 (complete sheet comprising 144 units), types 3-6 and 1-4 at top which are repeated at bottom, original gum, margins all round, fresh vibrant colour, two have thin patches, four vertical creases which do not detract and some tiny tears in margin, there is some stains not obvious, overall a remarkably attractive example, scarce large multiple.
