horizontal red underprint (No. 2W, Type 3), single on white
envelope addressed to Mr. Mayor Zuppinger in Eichthal, Âtied by a
rich red Zurich rosette cancel (AW No. 1) with matching red
dispatch datestamp “Zurich 20 Nov. 1847.â€The stamp, position 23
in the 100-stamp sheet, displays vivid colors and clearly visible
underprint lines, full to over-margined on all sides, in flawless,
unrestored condition.Signed Hunziker. Expertized and certified
authentic by BPV ASEP (Certificate No. 04789, Hans P. Renggli,
1990).

Cologny. Tied by clear Rosette AW No. 4 cancel with adjacent
Genève cds dated 8 August 1848. Genuine franking confirmed by
Swiss Association of Philatelic Experts (ASEP) certificate No.
31241 (Feb 1994, expert A. von der Weld). The stamp is clean and
color-rich, with wide margins except for a slight touch at lower
left; overall very fine condition.

“Z†datestamp), tied by the Zurich ‘Rosette’ (black Swiss
cross within ornamental quatrefoil). On the back are two circular
postmarks—one in blue ink and a faint second strike.Â
