on censored and taxed cover from Canton to New York, adhesive
placed at upper right but not tied, reverse showing bold bilingual
Canton c.d.s. of 28 February 1917, large black “T” tax marking and
red circular PASSED BY CENSOR 2005 handstamp, front with New York
G.P.O. “DUE 10 CENTS” circular arrival marking, reverse with
vertical OPENED BY CENSOR tape applied over an earlier tape bearing
violet PASSED BY CENSOR 1436 handstamp, taxed upon arrival with
U.S. postage dues comprising 1c and three 3c adhesives tied by oval
New York cancels, very fine.

1904年清一次片，背面有精美彩色手繪圖，自九龍欠資寄奧國，加貼香港2先票，銷罕見的九龍海關和香港日戳，旁蓋法國郵輪中轉戳，因欠資加貼奧國欠資票2枚。上品。實寄清片貼有奧國欠資票者存世僅一兩枚，非常罕見，可遇不可求。

stationery card from Shanghai to Holland, 1896 20c. on 30c. on
Siemsson envelope to Germany, 1904 Q.V. 4c. grey and 4c. red on
envelope to Exmouth, 1913 envelope to Panama, 1917 picture post
card to New York bearing "china" 4c. uncancelled with Hong Kong
c.d.s. and "T" in circle alongside and U.S. 4c. Postage Due, 1914
and 1915 envelope registered from Shanghai to Hong Kong bearing
boxed Shanghai B.P.O. registration handstamp, one with censor seal,
1930 underpaid and taxed envelope to Shanghai. A good group. (10

BPO Webb type B cds. Transit Hong Kong (1 Apr), San Francisco (26
Apr). Regarded as double rate with “2” at top left and levied
postage due. Applied with US postage due mark of 20c. In
combination with US 5c in strip of 4 on reverse. Arrived
Philadelphia (3 May). Also an early example of Webb Canton BPO type
B cds used as a canellation on adhesive after C1 obliterator was
withdrawn.
