Dear clients,
our upcoming Spring Public Auction 53 will open auction season 2017. The weekend sale will be held at our auction house on MARCH 18-19 in Prague, Dejvická 9 Street. The auction comprises more than 3.100 interesting and important lots, mainly stamps and postal history, including singles, sets, collections, also some large lots and accumulations.
The auction consists of the comprehensive selection of Europe, Commonwealth and British Empire, including wide range of complete sets and rare singles, for example an extremely strong Austria must be mentioned. The sale also includes extensive selection of Czechoslovakia 1918-1939 with magnificent I. part of The Large Gold Collection of Czechoslovakia 1918-1939 with many unique and scarce lots.
The sale will also Bohemia and Moravia, Czechoslovakia 1945-1992, excellent Slovakia 19139-1945 etc. The auction will end with wide range of autographs, picture postcards and other collectibles.
We are very pleased to present The Ludvík Pytlíček Large Gold Collection of Czechoslovakia 1918-1939, part I. It is for the first time when a collection of this magnitude is being offered at auction.
The focus of this collection is on rarity; hence few ordinary items are included. Many of the items offered are unique, or exist in only few examples, and have not been on the market for decades or will be offered publicly even for the first time! At the request of the owner recent photo certificates for a number of important rarities are provided and accompany many of the lots in this sale.
The Ludvík Pytlíček Large Gold Collection of Czechoslovakia 1918-1939 was many times awarded with Large Gold medals at the most important international philatelic exhibitions and is worldwide recognized among the collectors.
