Tied by barred "17" cancel on 1861 cover to Jamaica, sender's directive "p Shannon" , "London JY 16 61" despatch datestamp on back, mistakenly sent to Belize with red manuscript "Missent to" and "Belize AU 10 1861" circular datestamp, Kingston (Aug. 18) arrival backstamp, red "1d" rate handstamp likely applied in Jamaica, Very Fine, the Shannon left Southampton on Jul. 17, 1861, arrived in St. Thomas on Aug. 1, Jamaica on Aug. 4, and Belize on Aug. 10, this is when it was noticed that it should have been unloaded in Jamaica and forwarded onwards to Kingston
