1916, 10 c. Pale Ultramarine Issue 1916: 10 c. pale ultramarine, stamp and postal history study, neatly-presented on exhibit pages, comprising lower left corner single showing initials of siderographer Samuel S. Ludlum in selvedge, scarce bottom plate #6046 block of six, four covers including a striking 1918 cover from Tahiti to California, with 10 c. Special Delivery tied by Papeete c.d.s. and affixed with French World War I patriotic label, the unique example recorded from this origin; 1917 cover from Bermuda to New York, with P.C. / Bermuda censor mark (ex Markovits); 1917 usage from Venezuela to New York; and 1918 War Tax rate domestic cover from New Orleans to Boston, the stamps with large part original gum, covers quite fresh and fine-very fine, a difficult group to assemble
