The total amount due is payable in Swiss francs. "The purchaser shall pay the sales prices plus 23% commission. Foreign currencies will be accepted to the extent of the amounts credited by a principal Swiss bank; any costs arising from exchange rate differences will be borne by the bidder. In addition to the hammer price including the 23% commission, the Swiss value-added tax (VAT) of 8,1% is payable. VAT is not payable by Buyers from abroad possessing a legal direct export declaration. If Buyers from abroad wish to export the lots themselves, VAT will be debited and refunded upon presentation of the legal export declaration

1878: Belgrano, 16 centavos green, rouletted, two singles, strong vibrant colour and nicely centered, tied by black cds “BUENOS AIRES 8 NOV 1879” to an entire sent to Bordeaux, France, also tied by French PO transit cds "BUENOS AIRES PAQ.FR.J.No.2" 8 NOV 79", endorsed “per Ecuador”. Reverse, faint arrival date unclear. Clean and fine example of the double rate.
