Registered LATI seagull envelope from Espargos on Sal Island
addressed to the 'FIUME' Insurance Co. (aeronautical office) in
Rome, franked with 16,35 Escudos and carried by SM82 I-SENI,
departing Brazil Aug.23, 1941. Rare envelope in very well
condition. There is no receiving datestamp although the letter is
registered, so it is most likely the letter was prepared by an
Italian member of the LATI base there. Lati was the only airline
flying through Cape Verde Islands at the time
