1911-27 collection of unadopted imperf. proofs and essays, incl. 1911 Concourse, 1912 Post Office issues (8), 1917 Moscow printed King Ferdinand four values in different colours and 1918 Soldiers Families Fund 5b and 10b, all imperforate, 1913 Silistra/South Dobruja group of eight imperforate proofs including a 15b in an unissued design, in different colours to issued set, King Ferdinand designs, four different designs, one with four different colours with at least five values in each colour and three other designs with the six values in different colours, all never hinged, a fabulous lot for the specialist

Austro-Turkish Courrier Service 1871 (Jan. 25): Cover from Scutari (Shkodër, Albania) via the Austrian Post Office at Antivari (Bar, Montenegro) to Venice, endorsed "Col Vapore", franked for the Turkish postage only by diagonally bisected 1868/70 Duloz 1 pi. yellow, Type III, perf. 5:11½, lightly tied by all arabic 'Scutari' double-circle handstamp in black (Coles & Walker fig. 3/Tchilinghirian fig. 498) with "ANTIVARI 25 / 21" transit cds. in blue on obverse and oval "TRIESTE 30 / 1" on reverse, carried by Austrian Lloyd steamer to Venice with "VENEZIA / ARRIVO / 31 GEN 71 8M" arrival on reverse. Rated "15" soldi in blue crayon, presumably at Trieste for a letter to Italy according to the postal convention of 1867, and charged "7" Décimes postage due on arrival with italian 1870/74 Postage Due 30 c. and 40 c. orange/carmine (Mi. 7b+8b) applied as proof of payment, each clearly tied by boxed "VENEZIA / ARRIVO / 31 GEN 71 8M" in black. Vertical file fold affecting the Ottoman adhesive, nevertheless a rare and interesting cover. Cert. Turkish & Ottoman Philatelic Society.
