Space Exploration and Moon Landing, 1962-1979, an interesting and
unusual collection of art, memorabilia and medals. Includes a Paul
Calle signed lithograph: a limited edition color 13 x 10 lithograph
entitled The Conquest of Space, numbered 8846/15,000, signed and
dated in the lower border in pencil by the artist, "Paul Calle,
1979." Nicely matted and framed with twelve space-themed US postage
stamps, including the 1967 and 1969 stamps designed by Calle, to an
overall size of 21 x 18. In fine condition. Accompanied by the
original certificates of authenticity from the Franklin Mint. The
lithograph was produced by the Franklin Mint in 1979 to honor the
ten-year anniversary of the moon landing. A nice limited example
from Calle, with COA.Astronaut James Lovell Apollo 13 Ltd edition
autographed Mars Pathfinder Stamp matted and framed with COA.Plus
approximately 50 medals commemorating various space missions and
the famous moon landing of 1969, some silver, we estimate silver
content of around 7 troy ounces. Also included are some First Day
Covers and face value stamps of forever and higher valued stamps
all space related. This is an exceptional lot for the Space
enthusiast! Estimate $500 - 750.
