1864 Nova Scotia 5c on white paper (toned perfs otherwise vf) cancelled by oval grid and UNRECORDED MUTE 64 POINT cancel on cover (tear at bottom right of cover) from Bridgetown to Wolfville with cds "Bridgetown My 5. 1864" with transit cancels "Wilnot My 5. 1864" followed by "Knoxville My 6 1864" and arrival "Wolfville My. 6 1864". This spectacular mute cancel is unrecorded in J.J MacDonalds handbook The Nova Scotia Post and was probably applied in transit at Kentville. Very rare
