Photo, and ...más Group of Hindenburg Crash Relics: Recovered Fabric, Photo, and Postcard, includes a postcard from and a photo of U.S. Marine Private Paul Vasquez in 1937; Private Vasquez was assigned to guard the crash site shortly after the airship exploded, and wrote information regarding the crash on his "souvenir" swatch of fabric from the site; while guarding the site Vasquez sent a photo postcard of the Hindenburg back to his family and speaks about how he's "getting tired of guarding that burned dirigible"; A photo of Vasquez in front of the wreck of the Hindenburg with another Marine is also included; an outstanding grouping with each item lending provenance to the next
