1903 Express mail. Very fine small parcel sent from Charles W Harness, Designer & Engraver, to Preston. Bearing a wonderful green printed label for Harness on the front; endorsed in red at top "Express Letterpost" with a ½d pale yellowish green (SG 217) and a 4d green and grey-brown (SG 235) tied by Wolverhampton datestamps for AP 30 1903 alongside and violet "EXPRESS" handstamps, backstamped with Preston arrival datestamps. Containing original contents including a hand-drawn essay of a "JUSTICE" stamp bearing scales of justice and a finished proof of the die. Most unusual
