Ultramarine Issue 1902: 10 c. ultramarine, 1909 re-issue in blue, stamp and postal history group, with plate number single and multiples comprising plate 5240 single, plate 5240-09 upper margin inscription block of six, and plate 5243-09 top and bottom inscription strips of three, all but the single showing the full "Bureau Engraving & Printing" inscription and plate number, all with large part original gum, and four covers, two 1910 usages showing Boston "clock-type" receivers, showing both the earliest and latest recorded usages in purple ink, and two illustrating the Canada / United States Reciprocal Arrangement, one franked with 10 c. Special Delivery and sent from Winnipeg to Chicago, the second from New York to Toronto, franked with 10c green Canadian Special Delivery issue, a scarce group, overall fresh and fine. Cert. origins including Canal Zone and Colombia, unusual usage of 13 c.
Special Delivery to accelerate transit between Curacao and Denmark,
various examples on parcel piece (several ex Markovits), including
Prexie frankings, dual 13 c. franking on strking redirected cover
displaying three attempts at delivery, 17 c. foreign destinations
including France and Chile, etc, some small flaws, a diverse and
fine-very fine collection with many difficult items

study, with plate number singles (3) and block of four (1) showing
each of the plates used in the production of this issue, margin
block of four displaying a dramatic faulty ink wiping flaw, all but
one of these never hinged, the covers (9) with examples showing the
rate increase in January, 1952 (2); 1954 advertising cover with
second 20 c. Special Delivery applied and forwarded; examples of
foreign origin from France and Canal Zone; foreign destination to
Nassau, returned to sender with Bahamian franking; domestic
postcard and parcel post usages, etc, the two blocks with light
bends, the covers chiefly fine-very fine, an ideal lot for the
specialist
