letters, 1853/64 Triangular issues with large range, 1 d. used or
unused (26 items) incl. 1 d. on blued with magnificent single and
fine pairs (2) and a strip of three; together with 1 d. in a dull
shade on piece cancelled by triangular CGH in red; 4 d. blue (66
examples) used, 4 d. blue pairs used (8) and blocks of four (2); 6
d. rose-lilac (8 items with two on piece), 1 s. green used (5)
incl. two fine emerald examples, Woodblocks 1 d. vermilion (shades)
used (4), Woodblock 4 d. blue used (3) and "Error of Colour" 1 d.
blue - superb lightly used example except for left corner sadly
missing, with 1992 Opinion Holcombe (Gi 13c = £ 30'000), Woodblock
reprints (6), 1859 cover to USA franked by 1 d. pair and single 1
s. green and a cover front with the same franking; Rectangular
Issues with 1868 4 d. on 6 d. lilac in a used strip of three and a
used example on cover front from Tulbagh, attractive range of
unused and used multiples and some useful cover fronts. Condition
obviously varies but many fine items noted and an exceptional
collection for further study (196 items).

card, initialled 'J.P' by the engraver J. Peacock, 82x113mm. Also
die proofs in green (2), black or purple on white glazed paper,
these four probably reprints. This head was used for stamps of St.
Helena, Seychelles, British Honduras, Turks Islands and Gambia. (5)
