1883 cover to England endorsed ‘per first Str, via New York or R.M. to Southampton’ with 4 x 1d blue, prepaying the 4d rate, cancelled by barred ‘A56’ obliterators with a MONTEGO BAY AP 6 83 despatch cancel alongside. Kingston AP 7 and Birkenhead 27 AP 83 transit and arrival cancels are on the back of the cover. This is the latest recorded date of use of this ‘A56’ canceller. A few trivial edge faults to the cover but an attractive franking
