1930 – Shannon Scheme. An attractive and specialised assembly,
neatly mounted and written up on six album pages. Comprises mint
and used singles, a mint block of four, and a single tied by a
15.OCT.1930 first day cancel. Also includes five additional covers
with single frankings, two of which are used on the official first
day of issue (16.OCT.1930). A wonderful and well-balanced lot,
seldom offered in such depth

1922-68 An attractive specialised collection neatly mounted and
beautifully written up on 64 album pages, being housed in one
Spring back album, showing a fine array of the First and Second
definitives with both SE and E wmks, complete mint and used sets to
10s etc., plus some useful covers and cancels, also some airmails,
the highlight of the collection is the outstanding assembly of a
complete set of the 1922-23 SE wmk first day covers including the
following each used with different first days cancels: 1/2d
emerld-green block of four tied 20.AP.23, 1/2d emerld-green single
in combination with three 3-line 1/2d green (3) tied 20.AP.23 cds,
1d carmine, pair tied 23.FE.23 cds, 1 1/2d claret, two covers
franked block of four and and single in combination with
overprints, all tied 2.FEB.23 cds, 2d pearl-green, three covers
franked block of four, single and single in combination with
overprints, all tied 6.DE.22 cds, 2 1/2d red-brown, two single on
separate covers, both tied 7.SE.23 cds, 3d blue, pair tied 16.MR.23
cds, 4d slate-blue, single and pair on separate covers, both tied
28.SE.23 cds, 5d violet, two single on separate covers, both tied
11.MY.23 cds, 6d claret, single tied 21.DE.23 cds, 9d violet,
single tied 26.OC.23 cds, 10d brown, single tied 11.MY.23 cds and
1s azure, block of four, tied 15.JU.23 cds, generally very fine and
a very rare complete set of first day covers from Ireland's First
Definitive set of stamps, a wonderful basis for expansion (100's)

opts (93) to 2/6 (7) & 5/- (3), total SG cat £2200. 1922 Pic Def
set M/U (£100), plus Coils (5, £410), then comp to 1975 many both M
& U (£900) & to finish this binder another 800+ extras, mostly U,
many 5-20+ of each. Then Vol 2 starts at 1976 on to 1996 (£600)
erratically arranged with all vertical types 1d, then the horiz
types, probably comp, again many both M & U, plus scattered to
2005. Vol 3 (£300) booklets (20) inc Prestige types, M/Sheets &
sheetlets (34) & more M & U extras 1920s-60s etc. Vol 4 is Postal
History (100) with some early GB used in Ireland, 1830s-40s
stampless types, then Commercial Mail inc UK, FDC from early, PPC
(4) etc. Total SG cat £4500+ = A$9000, plus the covers. (3000+, 80+
covers) (Estimate 900 A$)
