Cochrane ...más 1858.01.04 (January 4) Incoming Cover Sent to Captain Arthur Cochrane on Board HMS Niger at Hong Kong Naval Station off China, via P&O from Southampton via Suez, Aden, Galle to arrive in Hong Kong on 28 Feb 1858, 9d rate from UK canceled by "50" obliterator, HMS Niger was responsible for the destruction of the Chinese fleet in October 1856, this cover was sent during the attack of Canton.

by manuscript to 1/6d. with framed "colonial share of fine" struck
in red with manuscript "6" with additional handstruck "1d" in red;
the reverse bearing part London datestamp and Hong Kong arrival
