1919 (14 Feb) "OS" cover to England, with bold "Field Post Office
C.12" pmk, sent by a member of the 12th Cavalry Brigade, which
operated in Daraa, located in the Jordan valley, about 30 miles
east of the Sea of Galilee. This cover represents the only recorded
example of the use of this marking (as the Allied troops moved to
occupy former Ottoman territories in the Palestine area, a small
detachment was ordered to advance into what became designated as
Transjordan)
