OS, unused bottom of sheet interpanneau "CA" & "JBC" Monogram block of twenty-four (12 x 2), panes 7 & 8, First Substitution, showing new setting of the Monograms (CA at 1.5 mm. & JBC at 1 mm. from the Jubilee line), also included are the varieties Ferns (7/54), RA joined (7/60), white spot in SE corner (8/54), kangaroo's tongue out (8/56) and Run N of ONE (8/60), fresh colour, fine appearance, three vertical folds, two through perfs. and one through centre of interpanneau, none which detract., tone spot on pos. 7/57, impressive multiple, large part og., stunning item. 1917: 1 d. Pale Terracotta (Brick) shade, smooth paper, perf. 14¼ x 14, perf. OS, unused interpanneau block of fifty-six, with "JBC" Monogram at bottom right corner strip of three, illustrating various flaws of the plate including notched NE corner (5/59), thinned frame bottom left corner (6/30), notched NW corner (6/40), white flaw in right frame opposite emu's feet (6/55) and deformed shading in oval over E of POSTAGE (6/59). Tone spots on rear, some showing through as is apparent, and fragile in places with one or two imperfections and folded in places as is expected with such a large block. Visually appealing, large part og., very rare. Largest known Monogram block in this shade - only three Monogram strips in Brick known. (5/47-49, 53-54, 57-60 and 6/13-14,19-60) BW 71Q(3) na, p, r, s, & zd bb = $ 96'542.
