1917: 1 d. Pale Terracotta (Brick) shade, smooth paper, perf. 14¼ x 14, perf. OS, unused interpanneau block of fifty-six, with "JBC" Monogram at bottom right corner strip of three, illustrating various flaws of the plate including notched NE corner (5/59), thinned frame bottom left corner (6/30), notched NW corner (6/40), white flaw in right frame opposite emu's feet (6/55) and deformed shading in oval over E of POSTAGE (6/59). Tone spots on rear, some showing through as is apparent, and fragile in places with one or two imperfections and folded in places as is expected with such a large block. Visually appealing, large part og., very rare. Largest known Monogram block in this shade - only three Monogram strips in Brick known.
