1937/38: American Bank Note Co. imperforate photographic Essays for
postage 50 c. multicoloured and Airmail 50 c., both with flags and
background hand-painted and "American Bank Note Co." imprint added
to each Proof at base, file numbered above each and signed off as
accepted by the Ecuadorean Treasurer, dated "8/23/37" at lower
right and endorsed "FOR COLOR ONLY" at top. Unique.

photographic Essays on two thick cards for both Postage and Airmail
values 2 c. - 2 sucres (excluding both the 50 c. values) all with
values inserted in ink and marked "For Denominations Only" and each
dated at base "8/27/37" in manuscript, together with 2 c., 5 c., 10
c., 20 c., 1 s. and 2 s. values as issued imperforate and affixed
to thick cards (6) for acceptance all endorsed "Red stripes to be
the same shade as the Honduras stamps" dated "10/26/37" in
manuscript; and a small Booklet of gummed Proofs (4) of the Flag
vignette in individual colours. A superb and unique assembly.
