with ...mehr 1913 (August 29), British Columbia to Nebraska, registered cover with U.S. Special Delivery stamp, franked with pair of 1c green and single 7c yellow ochre Admirals tied by R handstamps, together with 10c blue U.S. Special Delivery stamp, the reverse showing black wax seal and numerous transit and receiver markings, somewhat roughly opened, otherwise a fine and uncommon franking.

overprinted SPECIAL DELIVERY in red, the Canadian stamps tied by
Toronto duplex cancellation with Nassau c.d.s. (25 Jul) on front
and reverse, the Bahamian special delivery adhesive having been
made available for a short period at four Canadian post offices
under a bilateral arrangement, an unusual and attractive franking

1895: 10 c. Blue Issue 1895, 10 c. blue, postal history group of
eight, illustrating a diversity of usages, including non-delivery
carrier notices, one with adhesive double-crossed in pen denoting
attempted delivery, another with notice of attempt to delivery
affixed to front, varieties on cover including the "dots in curved
arc above messenger" and "line through colour through POSTAL
DELIVERY", the latter on florist advertising cover, two examples of
local service, including one uncommon usage on a particularly fresh
postal card, three 1900/02 examples to or from Cleveland displaying
attempts to reduce carrier fraud, with strikes of "NOTICE / No
Charges / On This Mail" or "PAY NO MONEY TO MESSENGER", and two
examples of foreign origin, including use on 1901 stationery card
fom Canada, and one on piece cancelled in Pago Pago Samoa, one of
only two recorded examples, the odd small fault, but a mostly very
fine group of unusual and desirable covers
