1943 (20 Nov) Huipi (receipt of remittance) bulk mail stating
containing 73 letters from Swatow to Bangkok, f.w SYS and Martyrs
ovpt. "For Use in Kwangtung" and "Special Use in Kwantung" x11 on
reverse, in total of $52.63. On front attached with a slip
explaining the mail was under special rate of 71c including airmail
fee, airmail and registered label. Sea route was affected during
WWII. An overland route of Swatow-Canton-Wuchow-Pingsiang-Siam
emerged. It is the only recorded Huipi bulk mail taking this route.
Extremely scarce.
1943.11.20 回批總包，申報內裝回批73件，自汕頭寄曼谷，貼孫像及烈士加蓋“粵區貼用”及“粵區特用”共11枚，合52元6角3分。正貼有憑單指此件特別航普資費、航空及掛號標籤。銷汕頭三格漢英日戳。二戰期間，海路受阻，故出現了汕頭-廣州-梧州-憑祥-暹羅之陸上郵路。此為目前僅見採用此郵路之回批總包，極稀罕難得。2008年版許茂春著《東南亞華人與僑批》第88頁1-200原件。

total of $23 while the correct rate should be $25, tied by Canton
bilingual cds, alongside with T mark. In combination with imperf
ROC postage due $2 in pair for double due amount, tied by Canton
(30 May) arrival cds.

Company printed corner card, rare usage of Japanese postal service
from leased territory to the United States during interwar period,
