1883–1980s, accumulation of hundreds of tobacco stamps, primarily
Federal issues; highlights include seven large-format orange Canada
Excise Tobacco stamps, five strips, Series 1883 "Young Victoria"
and Series 1897 "Widow Queen" stamps, plus several Customs stamps
and "Twist" small excise strips, the balance consisting of Series C
cigarette or tobacco pack seals, including some Provincial issues;
an ideal group for specialized study and organization, some typical
signs of handling, overall fine or better.

and labels, spanning from the Edward VII period to the end of the
Second World War, including a mix of mint and cancelled examples,
featuring various overprints all displayed on a Hagner stock sheet,
representing an interesting foundation for a specialized
collection, with a Walsh Newfoundland Specialized catalogue value
exceeding $500, overall fine to very fine.

tied by Oxford split-ring, free strike at bottom, reverse with
same-day c.d.s. arrival backstamp, at left a comic illustration
promoting the firm of Wm. Dunsmore, manufacturer of tin and sheet
iron ware, and dealer in hot-air furnaces, stoves, and hardware,
stamp slightly affixed over top of cover, else a fresh and most
attractive advertising cover.
