Travelling Post Offices / Railway Station Postmarks 1874/1940's:
Collection with array of cards/covers/stationery (436 items)
largely arranged in numerical order of Travelling Post Officres
with assortment of differing types using Latin numerals, Roman
numerals and four line dated TPO / Station cancellations as well as
the later large numeral cancels (103 items); thereafter with volume
of Railway Station postmarks arranged alphabetically from Asau -
Zorleni (100 items) showing man differing types incl. circular
datestamps, oval handstamps and large framed handstamps etc.,
postcards of Railway Stations (26); thereafter with a collection of
postcards of Steamers in Romanian waters (65) with some fine cards
of DDSG Office at Bazias, Sulina, DDSG office at Tulcea etc., and a
fine group of "Stamps on embossed Postcards" (37) and "Coins on
embossed Postcards" (37) and some further covers (68) largely from
Eastern Europe, together with some classic Romanian issues with
many being forgeries. A generally fine lot and appealing with much
to enjoy.
