Savoie, 1860/1905: Lot 33 covers, mostly with French cancels incl.
Ambulants stations such as ALBENS & GRESY-S-AIX, Cursives such as
Beaufort, cogwheel type 22/25 cds such as BOEGE, LA BALME &
MARIGNIER; PC du GC '4211' of CLUSES, '4216' of FRANGY, and '4223'
of MONTMEILLAN, some with OR in circle alongside, 1879 registered
wrapper of the court in Chambery but returned; but also late use of
the Sardinian mute obliterator on Napoléon imperf with matching
Sardinian cds alongside in August 1860. The lot includes also
eleven 1792/1830 entire letters from the départment 88 - Loire, all
with numeral handstamps, two of them indicating port payé.

1892 outer wrapper, with the original letter dated 27th March, to
England from FEZ with a Gibraltar 25 Centimos cancelled by the
TANGIER AP 3 92 duplex ‘A25’ canceller. A Kew arrival cancel is on
the front of the cover. This letter was probably carried by courier
that left Fez on Wednesday 30th March at 09.30 arriving in Tangier
4 days later. Apparently, at that time there was a shortage of
envelopes in Fez, hence the use of a wrapper. An early letter from
Fez
