1892 outer wrapper, with the original letter dated 27th March, to
England from FEZ with a Gibraltar 25 Centimos cancelled by the
TANGIER AP 3 92 duplex ‘A25’ canceller. A Kew arrival cancel is on
the front of the cover. This letter was probably carried by courier
that left Fez on Wednesday 30th March at 09.30 arriving in Tangier
4 days later. Apparently, at that time there was a shortage of
envelopes in Fez, hence the use of a wrapper. An early letter from

clear to large margins) plus 2d Blue, Plate 5 (fault at foot). All
tied by Leeds sideways duplex cancels, with Calais transit below.
Pays double the 1s1d rate to the Austrian Dominions under the 1855
Anglo-French Convention. Reverse with London and Milano arrival
backstamps. Very fine and attractive multiple on cover

1843 MAIL BRISTOL TO PARIS WITH 1D PL.34 (SG8)(FC). Wrapper from
Bristol to 'Thomas Dawson Esq, 10 Rue Royale, St Honore, Paris'
with 1d imperforate pl.34 (SG8) lettered FC, four margins but
filing crease affects, tied fine strike Bristol Maltese cross. On
front 'BOULOGNE' date stamp and manuscript charge '10', on reverse
'BRISTOL' date stamp DE 6 1843. Whilst crease affects stamp, an
unusual example of the 1d imperforate going overseas. (Ref 135716)
