Transjordan 1924 (Sept - Nov) ‘Government of the Arab East 1342’ three-line black overprint on ½pi deep rose-red, a used horizontal pair. This Hejaz issue was overprinted in error, the scarlet shade was used for the overprint, a mint example included for comparison. A very fine used pair with large part Amman datestamp. With letter from National Philatelic Society to E Farah who states the item to be genuine and signs letter. Listed in SG but not priced.
