of ...di più Cocos Postal History in 4 albums inc 1942 Airgraphs (2), 1946 end of Military Occupation Telegram, 1953 Jan 3 First Airmail despatch from FAAF PO on Cocos, an Emergency flight by Lincoln Bomber to pick up an injured Airman. A small mail was cover stamp has been excised & replaced. Very rare, only 4 known. AAMC 1288c cat $300 (too low).. 1952 Tin Can mail cover, 1952 FFC Australia - Sth Africa intermediate stops at Cocos (5) inc Reg RAAF base. 1952 Malaya Air Letters used from Cocos single & uprated, plus 2 more covers, then use of Australia stamps from 1952 with civilian or RAAF uses. Then first Local issues from 1963 inc pictorial FDC, 1966 decimal FDC set to $4, 1969 FDC & much more to 2000. 1953-55 Malaya or Singapore stamps used in Cocos inc Malaya Air Letters, 1 uprated Singapore 5c to Singapore & 5 other covers with Singapore stamps to Australia, Malaya, Scotland. Plus again pages of research. Then Commercial Mail from 1990 inc Provisional Surch Mainland Postage Paid to 10c (5) inc both types of cross-hatching, plus lots of single frankings 33c, 36c, 37c, 45c plus mixed frankings to 2006 plus used in Australia. Finally stamp collection 1963-2003 mostly U. Some modern cheapies with toning early -better F-VF. An impressive lot! (160 covers inc post-1989 (95), stamps 400+). (P) (Estimate 2800 A$)
