1922–2011 Registered Envelopes: A highly attractive and specialised
collection of 420 unused and used registered envelopes, neatly
arranged and written up on 270 album pages, and carefully housed in
ten albums. The holding is practically complete for the period,
with an excellent representation of the various sizes, types, and
issues. Of particular note are a number of examples used on the
first day of issue, adding both postal history and philatelic
interest to the collection. The scope and depth provide not only a
fine overview of the evolution of registered envelopes across
nearly ninety years, but also an exceptional foundation for further
study, research, and expansion. This is a wonderful and
well-balanced assembly, seldom seen with such completeness and
organisation (420 envelopes, mounted on 270 pages in 10 albums –
