triangular handstamps in rose-red ink (Provenance of the Camp of Al
Mansur - 1915), sent registered from Sana'a to Addis Abeba,
Ethiopia and additionally franked on reverse by 4 b. vermilion and
10 b. brown tied by "SANAA" cds's in black (March 27) with
"HODEIDA" cds below (March 29), Aden cds (April 7) and Addis Abeba
arrival. An exceptional and extremely rare cover. Provenance: DF,
Geneva, 8-12 Dec 2015, lot 50228.

with ...di più 1933: Cover sent registered to Pernambuco, Brazil, multi-franked with 1930 and 1931 adhesives all tied by HODEIDA cds's (Sept 30, 1933), initially intended for the 1931 Zeppelin 9th South American flight but arrived too late at Friedrichshafen with typed label on reverse stating that the Zeppelin already departed with Aden cds (Oct 5), Friedrichshafen cds (Oct 25) and Pernambuco cds (Nov 7). A scarce and attractive cover. Provenance: Collection C. Angus Parker, Cavendish, Derby, 22 April 2009, lot 279.

white, ...di più 1926: Inland Postage, 2½ b. black on orange and 5 b. black on white, imperforate on horizontally laid paper, used examples with large margins all round, on registered 1928 cover from Colonel A. Corazzini of the Italian Diplomatic Mission in Sana'a to Trieste, Italy tied by "SANA'A" negative seal handstamp in black; with Eritrea 50 c. violet and 1 l. 25 c. blue applied for onward transmission tied by "MASSAUA ERITREA / RACCOMANDATE" cds (March 20) in black with registration label at left. Naples transit cds (April 1) and Trieste arrival on reverse. Slight stains from the glue used to apply the Yemeni stamps (issued without gum) otherwise a splendid and an extremly rare and fine cover.
