A good IMPERFORATE lower marginal horizontal pair 1941 1d Guernsey Arms issue (SG2c) with excellent margins and imprint 'Guernsey Press Co., 10 x 240M/1/43' in lower margin.Some creasing in lower margin and several tone spots but unmounted o.g. and a very scarce imperforate positional piece. Two good to fine unused upper right corner marginal imperforate blocks of four of the 5p (SG161) and 11p (SG163), the 5p slight marginal soiling, from the original printers proof sheets of 100. These sheets taken during printing to proof the plate and show manuscript notations and corrections. Sheets dated 17th and 19th July 1977 and endorsed "Corrected". Unusual. (Ref 111035)

ring date stamp 12 JUIL 86. On reverse 'FINISTERE' date stamp 14
JUIL 86. GB stamps were not valid for use in France and presumably
this usage originated in the Channel Islands and posted in St Malo.
