Postage Dues 1c & 12c blocks of 4, other multiples, etc, varying
degrees of tropicalisation/toning but most are unmounted; also
commercial pieces 1) with Kedah 5c x3 & 8c and central ‘ALOR
STAR/YUBIN KYOKU’ cds in violet; 2) with Kedah 10c pair + Hydro 3s
and central ‘KANGSAR/YUBIN KYOKU’ cds in blue; and 3) with
remarkable Kedah/Perak/Straits/Occupation Pictorials franking and
rare ‘LANGKAWI/YUBIN KYOKU’ cds in blue, to Alor Star. A commercial
cover with 'LANGKAWI/SYBURI' cds sold at our auction of 1.3.2020

An unused group including Straits Settlements 2c. with double frame chop (2, one with Postage Paid inverted), single frame chop (4, one with 1c., 2c., 3c. and 8c. with red single frame chop affixed - 3c. and 8c. with some stained perfs, and another with the same four stamps removed), "dai nippon" overprint, "Kanji" overprint (3); Negri Sembilan 2c.with single frame chop (rare; creased) and "dai nippon" overprint; Perak 2c. with "Kanji" overprint (2); Trengganu 4c. with "Kanji" overprint (2); and Pictorial 4c.; also North Borneo 4s. on 2s.; generally fine. official unfranked from Jakarta, the other 1945 with Pictorial 10c
tied by Soerabaja cds, and two correspondence postcards with
unoverprinted NEI 3½c Scenes solos, then a batch of Postal Cards
including one unoverprinted NEI 3½c Scenes, 'DAI NIPPON' 3½c Scenes
large-format x4 on various stocks and small-format x13, Oxen 3½s
grey x7 one with printed advertising for handicrafts & jewellery,
and one Pictorials Village Scene 3½c orange-red, good range of
censor markings and despatch postmarks including Bentjoeloek,
Bondowoso, Kediri, Lawang, Pradjekan, Toeban, etc, a few with some
faults and/or minor water damage but many are fine to very fine.

regulations
