The total amount due is payable in Swiss francs. "The purchaser shall pay the sales prices plus 23% commission. Foreign currencies will be accepted to the extent of the amounts credited by a principal Swiss bank; any costs arising from exchange rate differences will be borne by the bidder. In addition to the hammer price including the 23% commission, the Swiss value-added tax (VAT) of 8,1% is payable. VAT is not payable by Buyers from abroad possessing a legal direct export declaration. If Buyers from abroad wish to export the lots themselves, VAT will be debited and refunded upon presentation of the legal export declaration

1883: Surcharged “10 cts. U.P.U.” plate printed in black on 2 reales orange-red, left side imprint marginal block of four, fresh colour, perforations generally fine, no gum, corner crease top right. Perforation separation between two right hand stamp, reinforced with hinge. Rare reprint for UPU surcharge, using the machine press. Cert. Moorhouse (2009).
