York, もっと見る Canal Zone, 1929 (February 6), uprated 2c Air Mail cover to New York, franked with 25c on 2c carmine, tied by Balboa machine cancel, blue Canal Zone - USA First Flight cachet, reverse with Miami (13 Feb) and New York (15 Feb) backstamps, unlisted from Balboa in AAMC on this date, scarce and fine.

Canal Zone 1904/1928: Accumulation of 10 unused items and 1 used,
comprising 6 blocks of four, 4 singles and a booklet pane of 6
(Scott 84d). Included are two examples of the 1903 handstamped
'Canal Zone' 10 c. orange, one example used and the other with part
og. (Scott 3a = $ 1'375), also an imprint side marginal block of
four 1905 5 c. blue with basic overprint and Panama variety reading
up unused large part og. (Scott 12). 1924 Arms of Panama 50 c.
orange unissued in unused condition the Canal Zone overprint
reading up - scarce with just 600 prepared (Scott 69 var = $ 350).
1925 USA 17 c. black unused with variety "ZONE / CANAL" in red part
og. a scarce example with just 450 examples possible (Scott 91c =
$275) and among others 1930 USA Monroe 10 c. orange perf. 11 x 10½
corner block of four with plate number '19257' (Scott 104).
Condition is overall fine with just the odd exception. Scarce group
Scott = $ 2'480+ not all counted. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate

2 もっと見る Canal Zone 1904/1931: Selection of ten circulated covers and a 1916 2 c. black & carmine overprinted postal stationery envelope with 'CANAL ZONE' in black diagonally overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red and print order number "F4867" and security punch-holes (Scott U2 spec) comes with original ABN index card (Ex Gibbs). Included is a scarce 1904 handstamped 'Canal Zone' in violet on Panama 5 c. blue used in combination with 10 c. orange tied by 'Canal Zone / Cristobal' circular - scarce first issue cover used in second month of issue (Scott 2/3 = $ 400+ as used singles off cover). Also, nine air mail or first flight covers one of the former which is a 1930 envelope from Colon to Cali, Colombia via New York with added Scadta General 5 c. and 15 c. plus Canal Zone issues. Some flaws and or faults but in the main a fine selection. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate
