H. R. Harmer Auction Nr 3006
October 30th - November 1st, 2014
U.S. & Foreign Stamps, Postal History and Collections.
Diverse…."having variety"; a simple definition and the hallmark of the auction before you. Over 150 consignors contributed to that diversity and as, always, we are always grateful for the trust and confidence they bestow on us by allowing HR Harmer to handle their particular stamps, collections and estates.
Thursday's session features U.S. and Possessions stamps and covers and is especially strong in classics including reprints and re-issues. The postal stationery section features an array of envelope, airletter and postal card proofs and essays. Wonderful sections of Canal Zone, Hawaii and Philippines round out the session.
The second day offers British and Foreign material highlighted by wonderful Bulgaria classics including covers, German foreign offices and colonies, Pacific Islands postal history, Swiss officials, Iran, Saudi Arabia and much more.
The Saturday session features over 100 lots of stamp boxes and cases, some elusive philatelic literature and, that word again, diverse US and Foreign postal history and stationery plus flight covers. The session ends with the customary selections of US, British and Foreign "Collections and Various" with especially strong U.S. collections, groups and stocks.
