The Jose Castillejo collection of Guatemala is comprised of 129 choice lots of the 1871-1886 issues. It includes numerous rare and seldom offered essays, proofs, color trials, issues stamps, including blocks, multiples, position pieces and even full sheets of the first issue, as well as errors, postal history and postal stationary. It is the most significant offering of this challenging country since the 2001 Fritz-Walter Lange auction.
Short Terms and Conditions
In addition to the Hammer Price, a Buyer’s Premium equal to 20% of the successful bid price of each Lot up to and including $2,000.00 and 15 % of the excess bid price over $2,000.00, and a surcharge for paying by credit card will be added to each invoice. All Lots are subject to applicable state and local taxes, unless appropriate resale certificates are on file with Spink.
