Portraitminiatur, posthum nach dem Gemälde "Memorial Portrait of
Mary, Queen of Scots", welches 1587 nach Ihrer Hinrichtung in
Fotheringhay Castle durch ihre Hofdame Elizabeth Curle bei einem
unbekannten flämischen Künstler in Auftrag gegeben wurde. Das
Gemälde befindet sich seit 1833 und bis heute im Blairs Museum,
Aberdeen. Die vorliegende Miniatur entstand vermutlich nach diesem
Zeitpunkt. Oval, 85 X 62 mm, Gouache auf Papier, im
stuckverzierten, verglasten Holzrahmen.
