BASE CAMP cachet and franked with British India 1 1/2 A postage
with machine cancel CALCUTTA 30 OCT 1924, despatched to the UK.
Some minor creases and rust spots. Accompanied by Indian
illustrated FDC w/ 1953 conquest of Everest commemorative stamp
sent to the Netherlands ÷ 1924, MOUNT EVEREST EXPEDITION-Vignette
in Blau mit Abbildung des Himalaya-Panoramas, auf motivgleicher
Ansichtskarte mit rotem EXPEDITION BASE CAMP-Stempel und
britisch-indischer 1 1/2 A-Briefmarke, Maschinenstempel CALCUTTA 30
OCT 1924, nach Großbritannien. Tolerable kleinere Knicke und
Stockpunkte. Dazu illustrierter Ersttagsbrief aus Indien mit der
Gedenkmarke zur Erstbesteigung des Everest 1953, echt gelaufen in
die Niederlande

postcard ...más 1970 NANGA PARBAT / Günther & Reinhold Messner: two picture postcard from the German RUPAL-Expedition to Nanga Parbat(Sigi-Löw-Gedächtnis-Expedition) signed by the members of the expedition including Günther Messner (died at this expedition during the decend through the Rupal wall), the famous Reinhold Messner, Dr. Karl M. Herrligkoffer (leader) and others, both franked by Pakistan 50p. and sent to Aachen, Germany. (Günther Messner's signature can only be found on one of the two cards; he had probably already died in an accident on the later second card.)
